Canvas prints are a perfect gift for any occasion and a proper way to decorate your place at fair price.
Modern technology allows the printing of any photo or picture on a variety of mediums, our specialties are canvas printing and printing on wood.
We do a giclée printing on natural white, matte and ultra-smooth 395g/m2 poly-cotton canvas with a 5 cm white margin. A giclée is a digital output (printed) copy of the original painting or photo on canvas, printed with a device of extraordinarily high resolution.
A canvas print is an image or a photo printed onto a canvas with an Inkjet printer. Inkjet printing is a type of computer printing that recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ink onto canvas.
Essentially, there are 3 sorts of canvas: cotton, linen and polyester.
Linen is made from flax, and is essentially used for oil painting, but it required a gesso as it absorb a lot of the paint.
Cotton canvas are cheaper than linen and easier to stretch, as they are more flexible, but still requires a surface preparation.
We are using a poly cotton canvas, mix of polyester and cotton: color seeps into cloth made only with cotton fibers while it remains on the surface of synthetic polyester strands. Because of this, polyester prints are more vivid and cotton prints are longer-lasting. The addition of both is the perfect answer for canvas prints that will last long and maintain perfect colors.
A stretcher is a wood structure made of four or more stretcher bars, on which we "stretch" the already printed canvas.
The use of stretcher bars in the print market has become increasingly prominent with Inkjet printed canvas prints becoming more popular. This has given a rebirth to this old technique used in the art market for so many years.
Although oil painting artists use blank canvases and pre-stretched canvases in the art business, many photographers use stretcher bars for framing wedding photography and reproduction of photographic prints.
When we digitally transfer a picture onto a canvas via Inkjet printing, we then stretches it over a stretcher frame. By wrapping the canvas all the way around the frame, known as gallery wrap, so our clients can then hang their pictures on the wall, already framed.
Basically it is like the printer you may have at home, only bigger and better, allowing printing of high-quality pictures without loosing hue or pixels quality.
Inkjet printing is a type of computer printing that recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ink onto paper and plastic substrates. Inkjet printers are the most commonly used type of printer, and range from small inexpensive consumer models to expensive professional machines. (Wiki)
Once your favorite image or photo is printed on canvas, we mount it on stretchers, wrap it in a protected sturdy carton box and send it to you.
